GFOA Best Practices Forum
GFOA has approved over 200 best practice statements that serve as the gold standards for government financial management practices. How does your government stack up to these standards? How knowledgeable are you about what defines excellence in public finance? Find out at GFOA’s Best Practice Forum! Over the course of one week, GFOA presenters will discuss individual best practices, current trends, and implementation considerations. This training will provide finance professionals in all types of organizations a better understanding of best practices across a wide array of topics and will include interactive elements for attendees to conduct a self-assessment, discuss their results, and learn from each other. Each session will highlight 1-2 best practices, a best practice implementation case study, and a checklist you can use to assess your organization’s practices.
